What do you do for work?

I am both the founder and the CEO of Farmhood. Farmhood, is a dynamic food tech startup, with a talented team committed to enhancing the nutritional value of surplus agricultural produce by transforming them into wholesome snacks. Farmhood was founded because we have witnessed how the valuable produce goes to waste because it is not value added in our tangerine garden. Currently, we are working on developing our upcycled product line with lab studies. Our focus is on sourcing raw materials from sustainable channels, including food by-products and agricultural surplus that could be found in Mediterranean climates. Notably, we've partnered with Turkish Center for Technology and Development Center, by becoming a Role Model Project for the Turkish Food Innovation Center of the organization.

What is your source of inspiration?

My parents; loving what you do, makes you a hardworking person and makes you enjoy the little things in life each day even though it is not always sunshine and rainbows.

What in your life has changed since meeting Arkhe Innovate?

Arkhe now has a very special place in my journey. When I first met with Arkhe, I would say I was in the very beginning of my journey. Being with like-minded individuals who actually put everything in their power to create a good impact on various topics, made me feel much more empowered. At the time, things were started to get harder and I was overwhelmed by the amount of work and stress that I signed up for. Today, I am glad to have met that community, because with them I have seen that it is worth all the effort, but it takes a lot longer than how does a regular job would take.
